Dear Sellers
Dear Sellers,
Recently I had some buyers send me a link for your Zillow listing. Now before I go further let me explain about Zillow. Buyers love them some Zillow. Their website looks nice and it is easy to use. I get it. I’ll be honest, when I want to look at houses across the county I use them too. In reality Zillow’s information is not very reliable. That is the beginning of this frustration.
As with most homes on Zillow when buyers send me a link I check the MLS to see what the current status is and to verify information. I’m sure a lot of good agents do the same. The MLS says your home is under contact. But then I read in the comments section and it says that the home is back on the market. So as you can see I’m a little confused. There is some information that isn’t being updated.
I reach out to your agent for further information. What is the status of this property? No response.
A day later I am making appointments to show my buyers houses. They wanted to know about your home. At this point I leave another message to your agent since I haven’t gotten a response. Still nothing.
It takes your agent almost 48 HOURS and multiple messages to respond! It was frustrating for my buyers and for myself. When I get frustrated I tend to drink more Dr. Peppper than normal. It isn’t good for my six pack. Turns out your home was under contract (Hooray for you!) and my buyers found something they love (Hooray for them!). Next time you sell a home find a better agent. One who is able to communicate in a timely fashion. Who knows how many offers you could have gotten had your agent been able to communicate.
Sincerely,
Every Agent That Has Had This Happen
