You should drop the real estate thing and become a writer
“It is easier to write every day than it is once a month or once a week.”
What?!
What did he just say?
That’s it, Ryan has lost his damn mind.
I don’t remember the actual moment he said it but he said it.
“It is easier to write every day than it is once a month or once a week.”
I’m not a writer! It takes me forever to write.
I hated it in high school.
I despised it in college.
I hate to write and I’m not very good at it. My spelling is horrendous. My grammar is appalling. My thoughts get all jumbled and I can’t write them in a way for anyone to understand what I am saying. Plus, who wants to read what I have to say anyway? There are people out there that are far better writers than I am. Surely they would prefer to read something from them and not me.
I am not a writer.
But I don’t mind sharing stories with people. I’m sure there is some funny stuff I can share that people can relate to.
I did poop myself while running. I’m sure someone will find that funny.
Sometimes I can watch a movie and pull a gem out and share it. Someone will appreciate it.
I struggle with body negative issues. I’m sure someone out there does and they just don’t know how to share it.
Maybe if I think about not being a writer but as storyteller things might come easier.
It has been months since Ryan said: “It is easier to write every day than it is once a month or once a week.”
While I don’t write every day it has gotten easier. It is the easiest when I don’t think of myself as a writer but as a storyteller. Everyone loves a good story.
It was only a few weeks ago that I was talking with a family member. In the conversation, they mentioned they enjoyed reading my posts. There were three people that told me that. One of them even said that I should drop the real estate and just become a writer.
Even just yesterday a few of you said you enjoyed my posts and what I share.
I am not a writer.
I might be okay with you calling me a storyteller. Maybe even a bearded sage. 😂
But you call me a writer I might clam up on you. Mark Twain knew all about using the right word.
“The difference between the almost right word and the right word is really a large matter. ’tis the difference between the lightning bug and the lightning.”
I’m more of a lightning bug kinda guy.
