Change in Plot
“Change in Plot”
Remember yesterday when I told you it wasn’t about the exercise? There is a little bit more I need to talk on the subject of exercise. I did study it for a few years after all.
Exercise is really important.
But not because of what you might think. Sure it helps when it comes to losing weight. But it also makes you really hungry, maybe making you eat more. Ever heard of working up an appetite?
There is something I like about exercise that can also be done with what you eat but exercise makes you feel good. Sweating. Muscles twitching. You make have to walk backward down the stairs for a few days. That flood of endorphins. And when that natural high kicks in. I love it.
The thing I like about exercise, especially if the work out isn’t one I designed, I just have to do what I’m told to do. That’s it. Sure I might need to adjust it a little bit to fit my current fitness level but it’s there planned out. I just have to do it.
Although I haven’t really thought of it until now a friend of mine, Ryan Fletcher, has started to look at parts of his life like he is writing the story and his main character, Ryan, doesn’t have a say in what Ryan can do. Ryan has to do what Ryan is told to do by the author. Brilliant.
Maybe the main character in my life, Seth, just needs to get his act together and just do as he is told by the author. For instance, I told Seth to purchase this daily WOD Book off of Amazon so he can start doing that on the days that he doesn’t go running. Oh, yeah, Seth needs to get running because he can’t delay his marathon race entry for the third year in a row. This isn’t making for a good story and the author is tried of Seth hijacking the story.
It can work in all different parts of your life, for instance, Seth was just told he needs to get off of Facebook so he can go to bed. A few days Seth talked about early to bed early to rise and all that stuff. Well, Seth hasn’t been listening.
Seth needs to exercise.
