YES! ALWAYS YES!
It doesn’t matter how many city inspections are done. It doesn’t matter if that builder sends in a third party company to ensure quality control. You need someone that represents you and is looking out for you to ensure that the home you are purchasing is in the great shape a new home should be. If you are working with a builder that discourages you from doing a home inspection, tell them you are doing one anyway! It is well within your rights to have one done!
